i’m happy you are here! and curious to learn more about me and my offerings

I’m Anne Drehfal. I enjoy traveling to visit beautiful places, seeking awe and wisdom from the natural world. As an artist and medium, information best lands for me as patterns, symbols, and systems across long expanses. I feel most in flow gardening and making large-scale snowshoe & garden art. As a multimedia artist, I’ve displayed my artwork at libraries, coffeeshops, and gift shops. In recent years, I’ve explored growing plants like indigo, marigold, and hollyhocks for natural dyes.

I believe we can all learn from the natural and symbolic worlds and can hone our abilities to access that wisdom and support as we move through our daily lives. This is sacred work that our ancestors across the planet used to tap into and it’s an important skill to cultivate as we witness a more and more human-centric era on this planet.

My wise teachers have included: Rainbow Marifrog, Jean Schneider, Debra Morrill, Ana Larramendi, Shannon Renne, and so many different plants, trees, and places.

My life has various chapters as an artist and land steward. I grew up amidst my mom’s flower gardens and went into organic vegetable farming for 11 years after university. I co-owned Regenerative Roots, an organic diversified vegetable operation, for 6 years. I’ve stayed in the sustainable food industry by performing organic inspections at farms and facilities for the last 5 years. I grow an abundance of flowers at a community garden in Madison, WI.

My spiritual life has been a very private practice for many years and in recently, I’ve gotten the nudge to share some of the amazing things the natural world has taught me. Embody Sacred Life is the public face of that blooming - sharing of art, events celebrating a different way of being in relationship with place, and embodiment practice opportunities.

when we come back into relationship with nature, we come back home to ourselves
